We are excited to announce the launch of the African Editors Forum at AREF 2025 in Ghana—a continental network of editors committed to advancing excellence in scholarly publishing on Africa and by Africans.

This Forum is open strictly to individuals who are currently running and actively managing academic or practitioner journals that focus on Africa or promote African content. It offers a platform to strengthen editorial quality, democratise knowledge dissemination, and amplify African perspectives across disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be actively involved in managing a journal or scholarly platform with a focus on Africa
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical editorial practices, open science, and decentralised knowledge production
